Alan is principal of Alan Cantor Consulting LLC, based in Concord, NH, where he works with nonprofit organizations on issues of resource development, strategic planning, and governance. Prior to starting his consulting business in 2012, Alan had thirty years of experience in the nonprofit sector as a CEO, chief development officer, and planned giving director.
In addition to his consulting work, Alan is a prolific writer and presenter on issues relating to the nonprofit sector. He is a sought-after keynote speaker and a frequent contributor to the opinion pages of the Chronicle of Philanthropy and Inside Philanthropy.
