Form 8949

Form 8949 is the federal form for reporting sales and other dispositions of capital assets. A gift annuitant whose Form 1099-R indicates a portion of her annuity is capital gain income must enter this capital gain income amount on Form 8949, along with all other sales and dispositions of capital assets.
