Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are attracting an ever-larger percentage of the charitable dollar. Americans contributed over $22 billion to DAFs in 2015, and assets held in donor-advised funds are now approaching $80 billion. While many nonprofit fundraisers are understandably wringing their hands over this development, a pragmatic response is to say: What can we do to attract grants from donor-advised funds?
